Myrtle Beach Bike Week • May 10–19 • Myrtle Beach, SC

Each year hundreds of thousands of bikers flock to the Grand Strand for a celebration of big engines, flashy rides and wind in your hair known as Myrtle Beach Bike Week. For more than 75 years bikers have been hitting the beach to enjoy all our area has to offer including top-notch entertainment, amazing weather and some of the best biker bars this side of the Mississippi.

The Myrtle Beach Spring Bike is scheduled for  May 7-16, 2021. Myrtle Beach Bike Week draws bikers from around the country for a week-long rally centered around the biker bars and vendors along the Grand Strand. Much of the action is in and around Murrells Inlet, just to the south of Myrtle Beach. Many hotels and condos along the Grand Strand are biker-friendly with ample parking for trailers. 

Americade Touring Rally • June 4–8 • Lake George, NY

Laconia Motorcycle Week • June 8–16 • Laconia, NH

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — Laconia Motorcycle Week, known as the world’s oldest motorcycle rally, gets rolling June 8 in Laconia, N.H.

The event is the fifth of eight stops on the 2019 AMA National Gypsy Tour, a series of premier road-riding events that includes some of the country’s largest and best known motorcycle gatherings. It is the only event on the tour that is designated as a Historic Gypsy Tour.

“The Laconia Gypsy Tour began in 1916, and the event’s popularity has grown through the years because of the beautiful setting and the great riding in the area,” said AMA Recreational Riding Manager Heather Wilson. “Laconia, as well as the other stops on the 2019 AMA National Gypsy Tour schedule, offers riders of all types of motorcycles to come together for camaraderie, riding, entertainment and food.”

ROT Biker Rally • June 13–16 • Austin, TX

The Republic of Texas (ROT) Biker Rally celebrates its 24th anniversary June 13-16 at Travis County Expo Center. This year’s ROT Rally highlights include a packed music lineup featuring headliners Kings of Chaos, plus the AMA Supermoto National Championship Series and the Daughters of Custom Build-Off for Military Give Away. Additionally, dozens of motorcycle attractions and vendors will be onsite to celebrate this Texas-grown event.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally • August 2–11 • Sturgis, SD

he Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is an American motorcycle rally held annually in Sturgis, SD, usually during the first full week of August.

It began in 1938 and was originally held for stunts and races, but has evolved into a meet-up for motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world. It is one of the largest and longest-running motorcycle rallies in the world.

The town of Sturgis and the surrounding area bustles with campers, bikers, on-lookers and everything in between. The rally draws vendors and food trucks from around the country to downtown Sturgis. Walking Main and Lazelle streets in Sturgis is nothing short of an adventure. In addition to the activities in and immediately around Sturgis, many bikers and groups take day-trips throughout the Black Hills and beyond. Within easy riding distance are many attractions including Mount Rushmore National Memorial (62 miles), Crazy Horse Memorial (67 miles), Custer State Park (75 miles), Spearfish Canyon (20 miles), Deadwood (13 miles), Devils Tower National Monument (84 miles) and Badlands National Park (110 miles). Four Corners Motorcycle Rally • Labor Day Weekend (August 30–September 1) • Durango, CO

Durango, Colorado was founded by the Denver & Rio Grande Railway in 1879. The railroad arrived in Durango on August 5, 1881 and construction on the line to Silverton began in the fall of the same year. By July of 1882, the tracks to Silverton were completed, and the train began hauling both freight and passengers.

The line was constructed to haul silver & gold ore from Southwest Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, but passengers soon realized it was the view that was truly precious.

This historic train has been in continuous operation between Durango and Silverton since 1882, carrying passengers behind vintage steam locomotives and rolling stock indigenous to the line. It is a family-friendly ride sure to create memories that will last a lifetime while offering a view of Colorado’s mountain splendor  inaccessible by highway. Relive the sights and sounds of yesteryear for a spectacular journey on board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
