The Ultimate Safety Motorcycle Preparation list for long trips and camping

After 40 years of riding safely, I’d like to give you a few recommendations. As a US certified flight instructor and long-distance tour guide safety for me is No 1.  How to prepare for the road? Plan your trip & gear ahead of time. Riding alone or with a Pillion, you’re the one who’s in charge of keeping things secure..

1. Prepare yourself. As we get older, we should pay more attention to our physical well-being, maintaining good health is especially important before a long-distance journey.
2. Prepare the bike. Do: a) A good service b) Perform a thorough inspection, like check most critical bolts for tightens, possible electrical problems, unusual noises, any leaks, etc… c) Plan for loading the bike and maintain a low center of gravity!
3. Go for a long test ride. Like 200-300 miles, prior to the long-distance journey for a final check.

A Long Distance Journey

This is our story: we had intended to go on this trip in August, but things came up, and we had to cancel. Finally, in September, we were able to leave. However, due to the delay, I have had the opportunity to service the bike in the manner that I desired (see service videos). Every day, we rode for many hours, and God only knows how many beautiful places we saw. These seven videos are exclusively for you to enjoy this fantastic five-day journey and see highlights from some incredible roads and locations., This route was designed by me and is 90% backcountry roads; we rode to remote Greek villages and didn’t see another car for over 3 hours at times. with friendly people, lovely B&B guest houses, motorcycle camping, and delicious food, Rose is responsible for the recording, and I am responsible for the editing., :).
